Dissertation proposal: Discourses in Planning Conflicts

01.03.2011 – Societal changes often times have direct and indirect influences on both the political decision processes and the organisation of spatial planning.
At least since the 1990's a paradigm shift in spatial planning is examined in planning literature against the background of current developments as individualisation, differentiation and fragmentation of live styles. Due to that shift a multiplicity of actor constellations evolved. The partially very different relationship fabrics between the actors result in corresponding conflict potentials. Abundantly clear it becomes manifest in large-scale projects and constructions in the course of spatial and urban development.
